Rockabilly Night with International Italian Band After Dark – Sunday 24th April
Tickets £8 online or £7 on the door. Over 65 and students £7 online £8 on the door. Doors open 7.00pm.
Join us for a special night of amazing music and song from International rockabilly band AFTER DARK who will delight your rock and roll ears and feet with electro acoustic and original form of rock’n’roll with afro-American, blues, country and rockabilly influences.
Fronted by Gianmarco Ferrari (voice – electric and acoustic guitar), Fabio Frieri (bass) and Gabriele Delogu (drums), the three have known each other from childhood. Their acoustic sound is ‘tight’ and soon gives way to a more incisive upbeat sound. A sound that is able to vibrate the soul of the player and the listener.
Rockabilly: a genre regarded as one of the earliest forms of rock and roll was born in the early fifties with blues and country influences, with its origins in the popular African American music. In line with the end of the rockabilly fathers, even these guys are making their small contribution to shake this world with all its contradictions.
The After Dark, a name borrowed from a song by ‘Tito & Tarantula’, present in the soundtrack of the movie ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’, offering a repertoire that includes classic rock and roll, blues and country, all exclusively revisited in rockabilly. I sure night of quality music and performance from one of Italy’s best rockabilly bands.
