Albion Running Present: Live Q&A ‘Pushing the Limits’ with Hendrik Boury & Imo Boddy – Fri 21st Mar

Doors 6.30pm. Starts 7.00pm. Adv ticket £15. On the door ticket £17.

Featuring two incredible athletes who have made their names with different kinds of multi-day endeavours, this mind blowing Q&A will cover topics as diverse as backyard ultras, fastest known times, 24 hour running and even Barkley Marathons!

Hendrik Boury is the German Backyard Ultra record holder, with a PB of 82 yards at BYU Suffolk in 2023. To save you having to do the maths, this meant he was almost half way through a fourth day by the time he was finished! He has been national champion twice and will take part in Big’s Backyard Ultra (Lazarus Lake’s original backyard ultra) in 2025. He has even taken on Barkley Marathons, reaching loop two.

Imo Boddy became the youngest female to complete a Jon O’ Groats to Land’s End run aged 22, then a few years later she set a new female record for the UK 3 Peaks, conquering Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, running between them all in 6 days, 5 hours and 43 minutes. In 2025 she will be attempting to qualify for the GB 24 hour team at Crawley 24 hour track race.

These are two athletes whose very best performances are likely still ahead of them, but having already achieved more than most of us could dream of. We will explore the inspiration to keep pushing for days on end, what the limits might be and how we can all go beyond our perceived limitations.

Both having a ‘sporty’ background but both having found themselves taking on challenges way beyond the ordinary, Hendrik and Imo will have fascinating stories to tell. Don’t miss out….

There is a licensed bar serving alcoholic drinks, teas and coffees.

Half hour interval at 8pm with free snacks and a chance to win some cool running-related prizes.
Tickets £15 in advance, £17 on the door
