Safehaus deliver their sound with passion and style in equal measure and never fail to impress an audience. Recent supports with Red Sky July (Ally Mcerlaine (Texas), Shelly Poole (Alisha’s Attic), Charity Hair (The Alice Band) and an extensive tour of Europe have tightened the delivery and embedded the groups sound. The uplifting and compelling soundscape they create and the vocal harmonies of Ben and Jim have never been better. Likened to a mix of Radiohead and Mumford & Sons, the band have mastered a contemporary and mature sound and their EP “Lyft” is definitely not one to pass over.
Safehaus hail from the Glastonbury area in South West England. In May 2017 the band were devastated by the sudden death of lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Ben Kench. After some time to come to terms with the loss the band re-‐assembled with original members Jim Kench (guitar, percussion, vocals), Robin Davey (guitar) and Paul O’Reilly (Bass) together with new vocalist and percussionist Fiona J and Alison Wilmshurst on violin and French horn.

The band’s latest EP “A Perfect Love Song” was released on 27th August 2017 (which would have been Ben’s birthday) and reached #89 in the UK itunes download chart.

The Safehaus track “Leave It All” (from the EP “Lyft”) was chosen as the soundtrack of the Dark Souls III trailer released in November 2016. See the trailer here: https://t.co/Fq5v80Phc5
The Dark Souls III trailer gave Safehaus huge publicity resulting in a significant increase in global interest in the band’s music. This interest including reviews across the web, a huge increase YouTube hits and downloads/streams and, significantly, a tweet from @pewdiepie to 9.5 million followers…
These guys have played in a number of bands and solo projects over the years (including appearances at the Glastonbury Festival and supports with Jools Holland, the Alarm and Ezio) and were hand-‐picked by Ben in late 2015. Ben has been writing songs since he was in his early teens and his craft has taken a step up recently with a number of national and international collaborations.
