About Your Tutors
UAL Fine Art Lecturer
Steve White has been tutor to the fine art option for a number of years as a 60% associate lecturer. He has always maintained a thriving personal visual arts practice in painting, making, photography and critical writing.
The underlying philosophy of speculative ‘creative play’ within fine art enables students to follow individual lines of enquiry, discover natural practical aptitudes and material preferences in the creation of a genuinely personal vision. There is a most healthy emphasis upon responses that emerge from real experiences of living in the here and now whilst encouraging respectful research into the great traditions of fine art.
