About Orkestra Del Sol
Orkestra del Sol’s joyous reinvention of global brassy street music has left a trail of pummeled dance floors across continents – including India, Australia, China and a host of European countries. The swagger of a Balkan wedding band, a dash of New Orleans marching band and a good dose of Latin carnival – all delivered with a distinctly UK edge.
Now in their 12th year of touring, Orkestra del Sol are teaming up with an exciting line-up of support acts for a mini tour that celebrates the UK’s growing street band scene. The Big Noise in Taunton, Carnival Collective in Brighton, Horns of Plenty in Oxford, and Blast Furness in Penrith will all be getting involved. Expect a carnival atmosphere and audacious musical collaborations!
Orkestra del Sol’s thrilling live shows are packed with beautiful, big brass arrangements, an irrepressible love of the theatrical and a roguish sense humour. Prepare to be thoroughly entertained…
