Fire River Poets presents Paul Tobin and an evening of Poetry and Art – Thursday 5 November

Continuing the 2015 season of poetry events, Fire River Poets are delighted welcome as guest poet for the reading on Thursday 5 November 2015 the popular Somerset poet, Paul Tobin. Chairman of Fire River Poets, John Stuart, said ‘Can you be down to earth, gritty and open eyed about the real world and yet, at the same time, full of aspiration for the human race? Well, that’s Paul Tobin.’
Members of Fire River Poets will also be reading during the evening and, as John is always at pains to point out “We always provide a platform for poets of all ages and levels of experience, so there will as usual be an open mic session during the evening for any poet who would like to come along and read. Poets who would like to take advantage of this opportunity should apply through firstname.lastname@example.org.”

Paul has published 3 collections of poetry, Blessed By Magpies and Flash Words are available from Lapwing Publications. He has also appeared in the six poet anthology Freeze Frame and Going On, Juncture 25’s anthology.
