A workshop in creative thinking and co-creation for NHS and public sector delegates at the Public Sector Income Generation event at London’s Barbican.
Core Business Design, the business innovation strategies expert, CICCIC and Higher Ventures delivered a master class to over 200 delegates at the Public Sector Income Generation: Raising Revenue, Investing for the Future event. Core Business Design & CICCIC Directors, Richard Holt and Andrew Knutt both spoke to NHS and public sector representatives on how innovation and co-creation can help organisations reduce costs and deliver best value to the people using their services.
Taking place on Friday 25 October, at London’s Barbican, the Public Sector Income Generation event focused on creating a more commercially minded public sector, in order to help it meet the challenges of the current financial climate.
Based in Somerset, Core Business Design was selected to present at the innovation master class, as it provides organisations with a unique programme, designed to empower them to innovate systems, processes and working practices that improve their business performance. Core Business Design’s reputation for harnessing the latest techniques, combined with its proven experience, working with the Somerset County Council on the Open Innovation Project, made it the ideal choice for this event.
Andrew Knutt presented the theory of co-creation and how it is used as an innovation technique for business and public sector organisations. Richard Holt described how creative thinking and training can help public sector organisations meet current market challenges themselves, by improving services and delivering added value to service users.
“The master class was a huge success, with delegates keen to know more about how innovation can be used within a variety of public sector departments,” explains Andrew Knutt. “Our focus on providing support to organisations enables them to implement creative changes that reduce waste and enhance their services. It’s encouraging to see that innovation is high on the agenda for the public sector and they were excited to see that we could offer them practical advice on how to harness these techniques. Once again, Core Business Design is leading the way in helping organisations take new approaches to building growth strategies, through innovation and creativity.
Core Business Design also had a presence on the show floor and welcomed questions from delegates at its stand. Richard Holt says, “This show gave us an opportunity to meet face-to-face with key decision makers from 200 councils, NHS and other public sector organisation from across the UK. With over 40 years of creative experience between us, Andrew and I were delighted to use our expertise in training and knowledge sharing to highlight the role innovation and co-creation has to play in cultivating a new period of growth for the public sector.”
