Somerset Schools to Get Theatre Workshops & Matinees
The arts and culture industry had an annual turnover of £12.4 billion and Gross Value Added (GVA) of £5.9 billion in 2011, according to a report by the Arts Council England (ACE) and its no wonder why arts can offer schools and children an avenue to look when building up career choices and offering an alternative engagement with education.
That’s why we are proud to announce theatre workshops and matinees from Tree Shadow Theatre Productions November 22 and 23rd 2013 who are featuring at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Both workshops are for school children and local schools are invited to the matinee performances and workshops. It is aimed primarily at secondary school children, e.g. 11-16. Both workshops will be specific to the matinee show that day. It will be based around exploring the themes of the show from a drama perspective. How Well You Know Me is more physical. Max capacity for the workshop is 60. There will be two CRB/DBS checked workshop leaders. The workshop costs £100 for a session, whether it’s between two pupils or 60.
Schools are invited to bring groups at CICCIC to work closely with Tree Shadow Theatre Productions on theatre related activities with an hour matinee performance and a Q&A session.
