Support Our Funding Request by Signing Petition
Creative Innovation Centre CIC (also known as CICCIC) is a registered non-profit Community Interest Company in Taunton and since opening its doors in 2012, and offering quality community and cultural services for 2 years, it has never received funding support.
Arts and culture are essential in making places and providing a quality of life for everyone, that’s why many arts and music centres in the UK are funded by their local councils and often the Arts Council.
This petition is designed to collect names of those who support our request to Taunton Deane Borough Council (TDBC) for an annual grant of £20,000.
Why sign this petition?
Our work in the community is wide and varied and the links below show a short video of our work, a letter sent to the council, and a must read update of what we have done and do for the local community.

But if you know Taunton well you will know that it is very much a residential town with houses (rather than businesses) being built all the time. But where will these residents get to experience creativity and culture?
TDBC’s Vision Aims are stated as such:
Taunton Deane is known nationally as a quality place that is growing and developing sustainably, with a vibrant economic, social and cultural environment.
If we and TDBC want to achieve this aim we need to keep places like CICCIC alive and with 1000’s of local residents and groups using CICCIC, and many more wanting to use this community asset, its essential that we get financial support or there is a very high chance that CICCIC will not have the resources to continue its work.
So please help us to obtain funding from TDBC by signing this petition. Each signature is a strong message to the council that support is needed for a community and cultural venue that engages with all ages.
Thank you for your support.
How To Sign
You can pop into CICCIC and sign our paper based petition or visit the following website here (if you use this website which is provided by an outside source then we suggest using the form at the bottom rather than the Facebook login as this presently shows a failure but still goes through).
