About the Quartet
Violinist, Gina Griffen, is well known on the Bristol music scene. She has worked as a professional musician for over twenty years and is best known for her amazing improvisational violin/singing style and performances with the Bristol band The Schmoozenbergs.
Bass player, Ron Phelan, originally from Dublin is in constant demand from the best musicians and performers touring the country. Together with Gina they provided backing music for the touring ‘No Fit State Circus’.
Darren Hodge has been astounding audiences with his ability to take the acoustic guitar to breathtaking limits. He has performed on stage with Tommy Emmanuel, Megson, Cara Dillon, Clive Carol, Seth Lakeman and Lula Reinhardt.
Rhythm guitarist, Dave Lunniss, possesses a vast knowledge of gypsy jazz. His festival performances in the UK, Ireland, Silkeborg, Denmark together with appearances in The Savoy Hotel with ‘Le Jazz’ and at London’s Barbican, with ‘Swing 39’.
