We’ve pulled all the stops to deliver the most exciting and the funniest comedy club in Somerset. We are throwing money at comedians (coins bruise them quite well) and the stage will be lit to show off the craziest and funniest performances you’ll ever see on the UK comedy circuit. Only at Taunton’s premier comedy club.

Brought to you by CICCIC and Genius Events (the people who bring you Stand Up for Cider) this bi-monthly comedy club will exercise your chuckle muscles and deliver a great night out at CICCIC’s amazing Memorial Hall.

You’ll get the chance to see several comedians on the night along with some amazing talent from known comedians who like to test their material at comedy clubs like ours before they take it to the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.

It will be unadulterated, full of surprise and have you laughing all the way through the weekend. So why not relax in comfort, enjoy a drink or three, while we take you on a few hours journey of forgetting your worries while you dose yourself in laughter. YOUR COMEDY LINEUP

MC Stephanie Laing

Stephanie started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit. She quickly established herself as one of the most promising acts of her generation on the circuit.

Stephanie is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.

Opening Act – Liam Pickford

Well, what can we say about Liam? If Stewart Lee, Jack Dee and Morrissey ever had a child together then Liam is who they would call son.

Liam started performing stand up in Manchester in June 2012. His unique style is a breath of fresh air to the circuit with Liam has crafted his own unique brand of stand up, mixing cleverly honed material and punchlines with excitingly unpredictable audience interaction. All this, mixed in with a hint of ‘whimsy’ and clever observations whilst delivered in a wonderfully unenthusiastic and grumpy style.

Liam has become a circuit favourite and is destined for big things. A highly intelligent writer and fantastic performer who is as capable doing sets and compering. Liam is an act you will want to book time and time again.

Middle Act – Ben Treloar

Ben was Standup for Cider heat winner/finalist 2022 and is a Cornish human male with a charming, disarming presence. Like a young non-jewish Cornish Woody Allen.

Genuinely, Ben is a favourite act on the comedy circuit making audiences cough up huge amounts of laughter and strained chuckle muscles. With his delightful yet quick witted look on life you’ll know that not everything matters unless it has been through the Treloar comedy machine.

Headliner – Quincy Cockney Prince

A very welcome return to Taunton Comedy Club! Our headliner is the incredible Quincy Cockney Prince! He was incredible the last time he appeared!

Quincy Cockney Prince is an award-winning comedian and a huge personality – he’s a stand-up, presenter, writer, actor and host with appearances on Comedy Central’s Comedy Blue, MTV’s Comedy Funhouse, and BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy On The Boat. His live comedy work regularly takes him as far afield as Dubai, Mumbai and Singapore. He has supported the likes of an early Kevin Heart, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle & other top comics from the USA.
