Ever wanted to attend a music event but you’re not sure if you would like it? Want to expand your music tastes and experience high quality musicianship, but unsure if you would pay the full ticket price? If so, then why not join CICCIC’s New Music Club.
Our New Music Club has been set up so you can get access to live music events at half the cost and even free, but there are a few caveats that you need to be aware of.
Here’s how it works:
- You subscribe to the New Music Club and pay a small £30 annual membership fee (this helps with our fundraising).
- If a live music event has space for more people, we will contact New Music Club members via email 2-7 days beforehand and offer 50% off the full ticket price or more. You may also be invited to events for free.
- To redeem your discount, you simply use the ‘promotion code’ in the email we send when you book your tickets online. And yes you can use that discount to buy reduced tickets for your friends e.g. party of 2, but only in one transaction. You must not share this discount code with others.
- You must understand that these discounted tickets for members are limited and are served on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- We remind you that not turning up means that someone may have been refused tickets due to ticket limits, so we have a strong expectation for you to turn up.
- If you discover an event that you don’t want to miss, we encourage you to pay the full ticket price and book early and not rely on New Music Club benefits. This also helps fund our art centre and pay artist fees.

- Why are doing this?
In the past we have invited some groups of people to attend events at reduced costs or free to pad out the audience, due to an event not reaching maximum capacity. When they do attend, we always hear them all say after the event that they thought it was amazing and would see the band/artist again. Others say that they would have not normally attended that music genre but after experiencing it live, they have become lovers of a new music genre. We also have some people in the community on low incomes who have expressed that they can’t afford full ticket price to all events, so this New Music Club is ideal for these people too. - Why only 2-7 days’ notice for New Music Club members?
As a not-for-profit organisation, who always pays for musicians and bands and have business overheads, it’s essential that we try and get full ticket prices for attendees first. Therefore, the 2-7-day notice allows us to maximise ticket sales before we offer discounted or free tickets. - Can I bring friends with my New Music Club membership?
Yes you can. This means your friends will also get discounted/free tickets, but you will have to book the tickets under your name. We expect members to buy 2-4 tickets but requesting more than 4 will require authorization by CICCIC. - How much will I save during the year and how many events can New Music Club members expect to access?
As membership is just £30pa, and you will have access to minimum of 6 events per year at 50% or less, you can save over £60-100, and that’s just the minimum. We cannot provide the number of how many events per year you may have access to as members. It could be 4, 10, or even more. Some will be 50% or less, or even free. So, if it was 10 per annum you would save over £100-130 or more. The great thing is that you are still supporting our arts centre, and you can experiment with and expand your live music tastes and experiences.

- 50% off tickets to: Directors Choice – Blues Rock Guitar Night with Jules Reason & the Fire – Sat 8th Feb. Tickets are £16 so that’s just £8 a ticket. Bring two people and that’s a £16.00 saving.
- 70% off tickets to: Directors Choice – Fresh Funky Jazz Fusion Night with Slinky Machine – Fri 7th Mar. Tickets are £15 so if you and another attend you only pay £4.50 a ticket and saving £21.
