An international poetry exhibition featuring work from young people from all over the world. The project ‘We Own It’ was designed and developed by CICCIC, Matt Bryden and supported by Jackie Clementine from TYCA  and the World Arts organisation, WAG. The initial idea was to bring young people together through the medium of poetry and celebrate their unique identity within their communities by creating a safe space using this accessible and creative process.

International artists participating in the programme come from far and wide and include countries from South America, Africa, Eastern Asia , Northern and Eastern Europe. Local children from the following schools also participated in the ‘We Own It’ poetry programme. Pyrland, Bishop Foxes, Kingsmead.

There is a special evening with international guest poets form the world arts organisation alongside performances from the local poets from the schools on Tuesday 30th Sept 7-10pm . Click on the following link to find out more:  https://www.creativeinnovationcentre.co.uk/poetry-events/international-poetry-evening-tues-sept-30th/

The exhibition space is open to the public Wednesdays and Thursdays 10-4pm and Friday and Saturdays 10-1pm. If you are travelling a long way it is advisable to call ahead or email us info@ciccic.co.uk to check as there are workshops and conferences in the space from time to time.
