About This Special Concert

Come and enjoy some amazing jazz singing accompanied by clever and rhythmic guitar playing with a Sunday lunchtime concert that includes American standards, bossa nova’s and there might even be a solo guitar moment or two as well.

About the Artists

Sarah has been singing Jazz and her own songs for 10 + years, playing with some of the South West’s top musicians. Her background is in theatre and acting; she was in London’s West-End in various shows including ‘Don’t Dress for Dinner’ at the Apollo and Duchess theatres. Sarah loves to find the story behind the song and bring a little theatre to the stage.

Brought up in a jazz mad household, Richard has been playing guitar since 1970. He has worked in education and now spends as much time as possible developing his playing which has included regularly ‘woodshedding’ with Tony Roberts and developing musical ideas and techniques. Most recently he has been playing with The Sarah Griffiths Project, Newton’s Toad and anyone else who’ll have him.

Both have performed at CICCIC in the past and have always delivered a high quality performance, and with their unique blend of jazz vocals and professional musicianship you are guaranteed a beautifully crafted live music event.
