We’ve pulled all the stops to deliver the most exciting and the funniest comedy club in Somerset. We are throwing money at comedians (coins bruise them quite well) and the stage will be lit to show off the craziest and funniest performances you’ll ever see on the UK comedy circuit.
Bought to you by CICCIC and Genius Events (the people who bring you Stand Up for Cider) this bi-monthly comedy club will exercise your chuckle muscles and deliver a great night out at CICCIC’s amazing Memorial Hall.
You’ll get the chance to see several comedians on the night along with some amazing talent from known comedians who like to test their material at comedy clubs like ours before they take it to the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
It will be unadulterated, full of surprise and have you laughing all the way through the weekend. So why not relax in comfort, enjoy a drink or three, while we take you on a few hours journey of forgetting your worries while you dose yourself in laughter. Tickets are limited and booking is advised.

MC & Comedian Noel Brodie
Devon based, top quality and very funny! Noel is one of the busiest and most popular comics on the circuit. He seems to effortlessly bridge that old age gap between ‘mainstream’ and ‘alternative’ with a blend of observational and off the cuff improvisational material, plus some intelligent parodies.
His warmth on stage, quick wit and impeccable delivery make him a very popular act and a real treat to have him at Taunton Comedy Club.
Comedian Aideen McQueen
Spontaneous (in the losing her keys rather the kitesurfing way), Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and, most importantly, side-splittingly funny. Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4.
Aideen is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside such acts as Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.
Comedian Kevin Daniel
Originally from Glasgow, he has spent his working life in the corporate world of low finance and recently decided to venture into the realms of stand-up comedy. Despite only starting to perform comedy in June of 2019, Kevin has already been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Midlands Comedy Awards and a finalist in numerous New Comedian Competitions.
His warm and honest storytelling style deals with the daily trials and tribulations of a man trying to survive life unscathed.
Comedian Headline Laura Lexx
Our headliner is the incredible Laura Lexx. Laura was born in Somerset and we are so proud of her meteoric climb up the comedy ladder! Following critically acclaimed runs of her shows Trying and Knee Jerk, Laura won Best Performer in the Comedian’s Choice Awards at the 2018 and 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. She was also named in the Top 10 of Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe and we can’t wait to welcome her back to our intimate venue here at CICCIC.
