YOUR COMEDY LINEUP

Headliner – Danny Ward

Award winning comedian Danny Ward has been delighting audiences for 15 years. He is co-host of the popular Jokes With Mark Simmons podcast and has been supporting Mark on a 100+ date tour of the UK thrilling comedy fans from Lands End to Inverness. With a set that is “quick, slick and very, very funny” (3 Weeks Magazine) you won’t forget seeing Danny live no matter how hard you try.

  • “Unmissable” BT Sport
  • “Slick, quick, and packed with funny material” **** 3 Weeks Magazine
  • “Enjoy a dose of ‘we’re all in this together’ with this comforting, hilarious and slightly daft hour ****” 3 Weeks Magazine
  • “Delightfully clever punchlines… He endears himself with an engaging if unusual style of language. Wordy but accessibly so, he throws in sneaky puns and well-hidden one-liners that reward the attentive listener without alienating anyone that missed them. It’s clever stuff.” Chortle

Middle Act – Oliver Young

Oliver Young is a new generation comic who has already impressed on the scene with his dry wit and writing skills, whether he’s annoyed at his average upbringing or trying to make you think he’s normal, he truly is one to watch, he’s a former Chortle Student Comedy Award semi-finalist and truly personifies the phrase, ‘first the worst second the best’. “Turns out a lot funnier than that sounds” – Bath Echo.

Opening Act – Pat Goldsack (Katie Boyle)

NZ’s hippest, swingers-club-owning nana hits the stage with comedy filled to the brim with innuendo, sex advice, mentorship, and a healthy dose of the crass. Listen up and listen good: you sass the Pat, she’ll eat your sass for breakfast.

  • Best Comic, 2023 Nelson Fringe Festival;
  • Best Comedy, 2022 Whangarei Fringe Festival;
  • Best Comedy, 2018 Palmy Fringe Festival.
  • “Utterly phenomenal…can nearly bring a tear to the eye” – Theatreview

MC – Wayne Beese

Wayne Beese has quickly cemented a reputation as one of the most exciting comics with his renowned quick wit and improvisational skills. The Dudley born and bred comic is resident MC for Funny Beeseness, which includes regular hosting duties at the award-winning Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club in Stourbridge.

He has been nominated for a host of awards, including “Best MC” at the Midlands Comedy Awards, the Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award and Midlands Comedian of the Year on three occasions at the annual What’s On awards.

British Comedian of the Year 2021 Semi Finalist BBC New Act of the Year Nominee 2018 & 2019 (BBC Radio 4 Extra) Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award 2018 Nominee Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year Finalist 2018

Wayne Beese is deadpan – and from Dudley. It is his mission in life to convince people that, despite his miserable face, he is happy. So far he is failing. Miserably.
