Support local Ukrainians in your area and showcase the rich heritage of Ukraine with CICCIC’s ‘Songs of Ukraine’ folk music concert at your venue.
The 80-minute concert, sung in Ukrainian, is a sheer joy for Ukrainians and local British people too. It includes small narrations in English to describe the songs and heritage of the music, along with arrangements from the talented multi-instrumentalist Charlie Hearnshaw. A percentage of the fees goes towards the Ukraine Appeal.
Tonya Matvienko, a Ukrainian singer, is famous in her country for her beautiful timbre of voice and manner of singing.
In 2006, Antonina became a soloist of chamber orchestra “Kyiv Kamerata“; a leading Ukrainian performer of chamber music of different styles. In 2010, Antonina completed her studies at the Kyiv University of National Culture and Art and earned two master’s degrees in PR Management and in Folk Singing. In 2011, she took part in the first season of show ‘The Voice of the Country’ and reached second place and has an extensive list of songs in her repertoire.
