Painting and Drawing Classes – Summer Term Thursday Afternoons 1.00pm-4.00pm – 23rd April – 16th July (half term 28th May).
The focus for the summer term painting and drawing courses at CICCIC, based at the Arts Hub, will be landscape and townscapes around Taunton. Weather permitting, there will be opportunity to work outside in the environment. The course will continue to explore a wide range of mediums and techniques with an overall aim to help individuals develop their skills and creativity. There will be an emphasis on skills and techniques using some of the fundamental elements of drawing and painting, such as tone, composition and colour theory, though there will be ample opportunity to experiment with materials as well.
Liz Gregory is a painter and printmaker based in the Blackdown Hills on the Devon/Somerset border, with a fine art degree from Birmingham College of Art and 30 years of teaching . Her work stems from her immediate environment, and everyday and overlooked objects.
