Mondays at the ArtsHub, Belvedere Road
Life Drawing 8th Sept Monday Evenings 7.30-9.30pm ( 6 or 12 week programme)
This is a friendly studio class with expert teaching. You will be introduced to a variety of techniques and approaches to life drawing. Through this class you will improve your observational drawing skills, experience different approaches to drawing the human figure and be introduced to the work of other artist
Tuesdays at CICCIC, Paul Street
Life Drawing 9th Tuesday mornings 9.30 -12.30pm ( 6 or 12 week programme )
Lively daytime life drawing class at Creative Innovation Centre CIC. Learn to draw the human figure in this taught class. Learn something new while having fun. Beginner or experienced artist, you can improve your skills in this friendly class. You will explore working with tone, line and form, to discover how the anatomy informs what we see and how the figure moves.
Dance – 9th Sept Tuesday evenings 4.15 – 8.15pm
Something for everyone & open to all. These sessions blend Dance, Circus & Aerial into one exhilarating session. Creativity at the heart – Building community – Encouraging collaboration. Each group will have a small number of participants for a tailored teaching approach. Performance opportunities available for each group in house and at events (if interested). Thursdays at CICCIC, Paul Street
Printmaking Classes 11th Sept Thursdays 9.30-12.30pm (6 or 12 week programme )
Explore print techniques and processes and develop an innovative portfolio of prints. Through various techniques, developed by tutor Adam Grose’s continual experimentation you will explore various print processes, combining and innovating them through this short course.
Painting and Drawing Classes 11th Sept Thursdays 1- 4pm (6 or 12 week programme )
The course takes you through a number of creative drawing process and builds up a portfolio of techniques over a 10 week course to develop your own unique style of drawing and observational skills. Suitable for beginners and experienced alike. Every session includes an A4 ‘aide-memoir’ to build into a ready reference folio. These will help you to explore new ways of looking and approaching drawing and build your own unique portfolio of skills and techniques
Fridays at the ArtsHub, Belvedere Road
Painting and Drawing Classes 12th Sept Fridays 9.30- 12.30pm ( 6 or 12 week programme )
These classes have been designed for individuals who wish to draw, paint and cultivate their creative skills, either for leisure or to update their professional practice. Each session is carefully differentiated to build confidence through various starting points and exploring experimental ways of working. Delivered by an experienced art tutor who will introduce the group to a variety of techniques and assorted visual vocabulary, and offer support in developing specific interests and aspirations. Each member of the group will be encouraged to progress within a stimulating, sympathetic and energising environment.
Exploring Mixed-Media Creativity 12th Sept Fridays 1-4pm ( 6 or 12 week programme )
In the course of combining different artistic mediums and materials, you will learn how to create dynamic and visually captivating pieces. Through guided experimentation, you will discover how alternative forms of making can inform and enrich your artistic practice, by integrating diverse techniques and approaches to mark-making, developing a unique artistic voice that embodies both chance and intention.
