Creative Innovation Centre CIC was pleased to receive a Certificate of Thanks from Taunton Town Council, on Tuesday 5th March 2024, in recognition of its contribution to the creative and social well-being of Taunton.
The award was presented by the Mayor of Taunton, Cllr Nick O’Donnell, at the Annual Town Meeting at Somerset County Cricket Club and received by director Richard Holt and centre manager Sam Calvert-Garner.
“We are so pleased that the newly formed Taunton Town Council has taken the time to recognise our contribution to the fabric of arts and culture in Taunton and the positive impact it has on people’s social well-being” said Richard Holt.
Arts and culture in Taunton are an essential part the council’s future strategy and CICCIC, along with many other providers, will inform and help deliver on these objectives.
“For 12 years we have been working with so many partners, practitioners and organsiations to bring creativity to the town and deliver quality arts and cultural experiences, and to be recognised for this by the council means so much to us” continued fellow director Andrew Knutt.
The recognition bestowed on to CICCIC is not just for their hard work at their arts centre in Paul Street and their activity centre in Belvedere Road known as Arts Hub, but also the many outreach programmes they have delivered in the area. A true testament that CICCIC is certainly part of the fabric of Taunton.
