CICCIC Introducing is the same concept as BBC Introducing where we provide a special night of music with undiscovered or unknown artists who excel in quality performances & song. Allowing you as the audience to discover new or unknown talent that we know will grow beyond the South West and on to the national circuit.
We have the pleasure of presenting the amazing talents of two bands/artist:
Pixie Caps
Nestled in the heart of the Devonshire countryside there lives an acoustic duo, Frankie Woodhams and Gayle Peacock. Their intimate music is soaked in a blend of poetic storytelling and beautiful intricate vocal harmonies delivered with clarity and emotion.
A wonderful partnership was formed from an evening of music in 2014 for one night only..or so they thought. There followed an exciting collaboration of Frankie’s musical and lyrical talents and Gayle’s guitar arrangements that brought them to their release of their debut EP, available on all streaming platforms.
“I was blown away with the harmonies, style and song compositions of Pixe Caps and to have them perform at CICCIC Introducing is a real honour and should not be missed” – Andrew Knutt, CICCIC, Director.
Jon Maybey
Jon Maybey is a guitarist, mandolin player and recording artist based in Somerset, UK. He has
released 3 solo albums having previously worked with electro-folk band Elephant Talk and
grammy award winning singer Eddie Reader. He has toured throughout Europe and The UK and
written music for theatre, dance and circus productions. He is currently performing solo using a
loop-station to fuse folk with other genres of music including rock, reggae and blues.
“Watching Jon perform and how he creates the sound of a full band is just awe inspiring. His song writing and performance has gained him much respect from musicians and audiences alike. – Andrew Knutt, CICCIC, Director.
- “Really well played with that slinky, golden touch. It is fun to listen to.” – Alt77 Media
