Celebrating 60 … and not being quiet about it

Debbi Sutton is ageing creatively and in ‘Celebrating 60 … and not being quiet about it’, she reflects on her past work, the people who have surrounded and influenced her.
The exhibition will explore conceptual strands running through her art practice, as they reappear and intertwine over time. Through strands such as, transience, documenting time and narrative work, Debbi highlights unseen details of the world around her and invites the viewers to look anew. Her work includes conceptual installations, intuitive drawings and Zen brushwork.
Artist Debbi Sutton, is interest in inter-generational knowledge sharing; in starting a conversation rather than providing an answer. She is a teacher in the conventional and unconventional sense. For her the world around provides a framework for developing interrelated pieces that prompt recollections, thoughts and questions. In this exhibition she invites viewers in to share the celebration and look back to move forward.

In addition there will be an Invited walk beginning at CICCIC on 25th / 26th May
