Northern Soul Music & Dance Night – Sat 1st Feb

Tickets £6 online £8 OTD. 7.30pm-11.30pm.

Join us for a night of Northern Soul music specifically designed to showcase traditional and upcoming Northern Soul Music that is so good to listen and dance to that you’ll want to bring your best dancing shoes and friends.

Our DJ has an amazing lineup of Northern Soul tunes as well as mix of other souls tunes that will celebrate the spirit of Northern Soul. We won’t be spinning original vinyls but do have an extensive collection of digital versions of most Northern Soul songs so you will be able to request your favourite Northern Soul song to dance too.

This event will get your dancing feet moving and there will be a great collection of songs played throughout the night from a range of label’s including Northern Soul, Tamla Motown, Atlantic, Stax and more.

Andrew Knutt, director of CICCIC and DJ for the night said:

“I and many others have withdraw symptoms from dancing to Northern Soul, but more importantly sharing the Northern Soul love for the music. So I’ve decided to create our own Northern Soul event in the hope that other fans and lovers of the music will come along and support this event while having a great time over a few drinks and breaking out some soulful moves. It’s got to be done or we’ll all go mad!

It isn’t going to be Blackpool Mecca or Wigan Casino but every Northern Soul gig I have been to I find everyone is so friendly, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from, you have Northern Soul in common. That’s the spirit of Northern Soul.”

If you have not been to CICCIC before then you’ll love our venue. Though small we have 90 tickets available so book early to avoid disappointment.

Licensed bar will be open.

So if you are looking for great night out in one of Taunton’s creative and cultural best kept secrets then come along to our Northern Soul Night.
