Rebecca and the New Jazz Code blend vintage flair with a modern twist, delivering electrifying performances in the style of Postmodern Jukebox alongside timeless jazz standards. Fronted by the charismatic vocals of Rebecca, the band features a rich instrumental lineup: drums, double bass, piano, saxophone, clarinet, and flute. Whether reimagining pop hits with a retro swing or paying homage to the golden age of jazz, Rebecca and the New Jazz Code bring elegance, energy, and style to every stage they grace.
Rebecca Jobling is an outstanding chanteuse, actress and vocal coach based at Mill Farm Studio near Sherborne. She specialises in haunting ballads having recently starred in a tribute to Billie Holiday.
Phil Horler is a session musician based in Somerset, playing across a wide variety of bands from jazz trios, big bands and function bands. When not behind the drums, Phil works as a professional sound engineer with a busy summer ahead across the UK festival scene
Chris Knight initially classically trained, before discovering a love of improvisation and now plays keyboards in both jazz quartet and big bands.
Richard Steward plays the sax, flute and clarinet. He performs widely across the South West in big bands (including CICCIC’s Sunday Big Band), quartets and other small group settings.
Dave Roberts is an outstanding bass player who performs in dozens of groups locally, including the Dave Morecroft Trio and the Phil Horler Quartet.
