As part of new Night to Day project, where we bring you great live music experiences during the day, and we are proud to launch it with three amazing musicians who are Three’s Company.
Three’s Company play a mix of blues, rock ’n roll, original songs, rock and pop standards and country. An eclectic mix, anything from America to Jerry Lee Lewis, the Searchers to Joe Bonamassa, The Beatles to Alison Krauss. Guitar, piano and percussion and three voices create a full, tight and rich sound. They swing! It’s not a style to pigeon hole easily especially as the original songs add another interesting dimension. You won’t have heard anything quite like them!
About the Players
Danny Corrick
Local legend Danny has played in bands since his teenage years. He is a talented drummer and percussionist, as well as adding sweet harmonies to much of the material. Recent bands he has played with are the Tree Frogs and Big Hands and he was seen recently at CICIC performing at The Man from Funkle gig.
Richard Gourd
Richard is a singer/songwriter and guitarist. He was one of the founding members of Ozone Terrace, a local band that went on to record an EP at the legendary Sawmills Studio. The band received a lot of favourable reviews and were played on commercial radio here and in the States.
The latest Ozone Terrace album, ‘Poet by the River’ has recently been released. Richard has also produced two solo albums, ‘Ebrington Street’ and ‘Pollution City’, the first being a journey back to his formative years growing up in Plymouth. He has been interviewed on BBC Devon and had a feature written about him in Devon Life. He has appeared on local radio, the Steve Phillips show, on numerous occasions. His music can be heard on all of the streaming platforms.
Richard Pothecary
Richard is a talented rock ’n roll pianist and vocalist and a natural performer. He has played piano in bands for over 50 years. It was hearing Jerry Lee Lewis as a teenager that sparked his interest and he has never looked back. His musical interests revolve around what is now called Americana – blues, rock and roll and country He loves playing live with his friends in Three’s Company.
