Square One earned their name after navigating the familiar ups and downs of band life, with several line-up changes taking them “back to square one.” Today, however, they boast a settled, talented and harmonious group of musicians whose combined experience creates an exciting live performance full of energy, chemistry and musicianship.
Leading the band is Tom Brain, a well-established solo performer from Devon who has spent over a decade as a professional vocalist. His powerful voice and engaging stage presence are at the heart of every performance, bringing these classic songs to life.
On keyboards and backing vocals is Adrian, another Devon-based musician whose fluent keyboard playing adds richness and depth to the band’s sound. Having honed his craft performing in Cornwall, he continues to bring decades of musical experience to every show.
Providing the band’s driving groove is Will on bass and backing vocals. Based in Somerset, his solid, musical playing forms the heartbeat of Square One. With years of experience behind him, his passion for performing remains as strong as ever.
Andy, also from Somerset, delivers the soaring guitar solos that lift every performance. His expressive playing and backing vocals provide those memorable moments that never fail to raise smiles from both his bandmates and the audience.
Keeping everything locked together is Ron on drums. Having begun his musical journey playing in London bands and working men’s clubs during his teens, he brings a wealth of experience and impeccable timing. Now based in Somerset, he also enjoys performing with several local jazz ensembles, adding even greater versatility to the band’s sound.
