A primary school in Taunton receives a donation of 400 magazines on Taunton’s local history so each student can learn more about Taunton’s local history. CICCIC has been using video and live streaming to deliver arts and culture on many levels and now we pleased to say that it has been working in partnership with the Creative Industries Federation to showcase music talent at the national ‘Creative Coalition Virtual Festival’. The festival features ground-breaking discussions, immersive live performances and enhanced networking opportunities. The festival runs between November 9-11. Creative Innovation Centre CIC (also known as CICCIC) has been awarded £77,345 as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to help face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure they have a sustainable future, the Culture Secretary has announced today. With over 120 entries from 11 to 25 year olds we present the TYCA Open Arts Competition Exhibition October 13th and 24th 2020. These wonderful and diverse works will be exhibited in CICCIC’s new digital gallery. A 17 screen gallery space that allows us to showcase the 120 entries. At CICCIC we deliver TYCA events each year, from outdoor art workshops to hip-hop and rap events to art exhibitions and circus skills, but with COVID things are a little different for 2020. Creative Innovation Centre CIC (also known as CICCIC) in Taunton has fought the odds of re-opening to the public after lockdown by building one of the UK’s first true digital gallery showcasing over 230 images over 17 digital screens. The technology-based solution is a new way for visitors to engage with visual representations while reducing costs associated with printing and framing and extending the stay of gallery visitors.
