Creative Innovation Centre CIC (also known as CICCIC), one of most community engaged and cultural organisations in Taunton, has launched a public crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to help support its continuation in serving thousands within the community. Partnering with hundreds of community groups, charities, schools and practitioners, CICCIC has delivered a diverse set of events over the past eight years. In April 2020 we sent out an art and photography call for people to submit works based on what isolation meant to them and how it made them feel. We also asked for images that reflected or symbolizes what they see from their windows while being stuck in. This could be real or metaphoric. Dear Friends, Supporters & Customers of CICCIC It is with much regret following a request from the government for venues to voluntarily shut down as part of ‘social distancing’ measures, Creative Innovation Centre CIC (CICCIC) will be closing as a venue till December 2nd. In response to the outbreak of Corona virus (COVID-19) Creative Innovation Centre CIC (CICCIC) is monitoring and acting on advice given to businesses by HM Government Public Heath England. However, we can confirm that we have implemented a policy of wiping down all touch points within the building, such as handles, doors etc. with anti-bacterial and disinfect solution. This is done three times a day. All our glasses and crockery and utensils are also washed at a very hot temperature with our industrial dishwashers. With over 365 events each year and 20,000 people passing through our doors, and over 2000 pieces of art displayed on our exhibition walls, its no surprise that things at CICCIC get tired, scuffed and warn out.
