Painting and Drawing Classes – Friday Mornings Autumn term 9.30am-12.30pm 6th Nov – 11th Dec
No previous experience is necessary, and we have welcomed several beginners over the last year. They have thrived in the welcoming atmoshphere from their fellow students, however, the course also caters for those who want to build and develop their skills and extend their knowledge and abilities.
There will be a mixture of both experimental and abstract ways to make art alongside more traditional methods, referring to well known artists as we go. It is an informal and very welcoming group. Learning how to build a picture from different elements, using a wide variety of materials and different ways to respond to a subject.
Liz Gregory is a painter and printmaker based in the Blackdown Hills on the Devon/Somerset border, with a fine art degree from Birmingham College of Art. Her work stems from her immediate environment, and everyday and overlooked objects. She has been teaching for over 30 years, but most recently has worked primarily for Spaeda and SAW.
