Painting and Drawing Classes – Autumn Term Thursday Afternoons 1.00pm-4.00pm – Sept 10th – Dec 10th
( Half term Oct 22nd, 29th )
The emphasis this term will be a return to studying some of the basic skills needed for an interest in art. The first half term will concentrate on drawing, using a wide variety of media and methods: Some traditional, some more experimental. In the second half of term we will start to explore colour, both in painting, drawing and collage. The overall theme will be still life, which allows students time to work at their own pace. You will work towards a final piece for the end of term encompassing some of the techniques we would have covered over the term.
Learning to draw and paint is a continuous process, and hopefully this course will help all students who are wanting to develop their abilities, from beginners to those with more experience. The sessions aim to be accesible and fun but also challenging
